The Bible:
This Book contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of Salvation, the doom of sinners and the happiness of believers.

It’s doctrines are holy, it’s precepts are binding, its histories are true and it’s decisions are immutable.
Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe and practice it to be holy.

It contains light to direct you, food to support you and comfort to cheer you.
It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s
compass, the soldier’s sword & the Christian’s character.

Here paradise is restored, heaven opened and the gates of hell disclosed.
Christ is the grand subject, our good it’s design and the
glory of God it’s end.

It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory and a river of pleasure.

It is given to you in life, will be opened at the judgment and be remembered Forever.

It involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labour and condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.

My Power is made Perfect in your Weakness ....

More often than not we struggle along in our own strength to do things for ourselves or for the Lord and most of the time we achieve nothing, because we do not notice that the Lord is resisting our plans and strength so that he can accomplish His own plans and strength in us.

The title is derived from John 3:30: He must become greater; I must become less.

The Lord does not look at our skills and possessions – he wants to use us just as we are. The weaker we are in ourselves, the more he can use us. That is why in a certain sense he must first break us down to make us subservient.
